"Because He lives, I can face tomorrow.
Because He lives, all fear is gone.
Because I know, He holds the future;
And life is worth the living just because He lives."

That's the song our doctor sang to us today after she prayed for Diane. We've got a great doctor! And we got some pretty good news: The MRI biopsy scan on Tuesday was able to locate the primary cancer site, and the grade of the tumor is only a 1, so it's not very aggressive. Diane will need surgery, but it won't take place for a couple weeks or longer. There are some options, and more tests need to be done first. Please pray for the appointments we have with doctors next week, that God will give us wisdom as we make various decisions about Diane's treatment.

Just a note to let you know how you can encourage Diane: She wants to relate to everyone normally and doesn't want to talk about her cancer or the treatments. (These are heavy things to always be thinking about.) So when you see her, talk about other things. She knows you care about her health, and you can always mention that in a card or email. (She loves cards with scripture verses you write on them!)

  1. hey there, i know you don't know me but i am praying for you and your family and your health. my husband has lived after cancer for 30+ years now and we are very aware of the power of God and the presence of the holy spirit in our every breath. i'd love to meet and listen to you if you'd like. i've had my own experiences with the effects of cancer and had some big surgeries last year. We are so thankful for Rick guidance in Chip's life and ministry and have really enjoyed your Multnomah kids, AJ and Naomi. They are great young people! I work at Preg. Resource Center on Mon. Tues. and Fri., so wed. and thur. and sat. are usually ok. meanwhile we will be keeping you surrounded by prayer. i'm sure you know our god is so involved in our life concerns. love and blessings, tamara lubeck
